We store nothing about you.

What happens live

To let people dance together, our server relays your stick-figure movement to everyone in your room, in real time. When you leave, it's gone. Only dance on camera with people in your space who are happy to be there.

A DJ streaming from OBS sends their mix to our server, which passes it on live to the phones in the room and keeps none of it.

Music played to a room from a phone goes straight from the host's phone to each dancer's phone. Music you play just for yourself (without sharing a room) stays on your phone. So the server can tell the music's tempo, for the AI dancers, each phone playing music sends our server how loud the beats are, 30 numbers a second. That's not the sound, and it isn't kept. Because those phones connect directly, they can see each other's IP address. To set up that connection, phones also ask Google's public STUN server (stun.l.google.com) for their own public address.

What our servers see

Like any website, our servers see your IP address to connect you. The dance server doesn't log it. Its system logs (start-ups, errors) are wiped after 3 days.

We count visits so we know if anyone comes: per day, how many times the app was opened, from a phone or a computer, which website linked here (just its name, like whatsapp.com), and how many people danced, shared or joined a room, or played music. These are totals only. Nothing says who you are, and no cookies are used for it. Daily totals are kept for 90 days.

The website itself is hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA), which, like any web host, sees your IP address when you load the page; see GitHub's privacy statement. The dance server (rooms, guests, tempo) runs on Oracle Cloud in Frankfurt, Germany.

On your device

Your settings, like guest opacity and AI variation, are saved in your own browser so they're there next time. If you book a DJ set, your browser also keeps a key that lets you follow and cancel your booking. You can clear all of it by clearing your browser data.

DJ bookings

If you book a room, we keep what you put in the form (DJ name, set info, about you, link). Once a booking is approved, it's shown publicly on the start page. When your set is over, all of it is deleted. Requests that aren't approved are deleted when their time has passed.

Music

Please don't share music you don't own. You're responsible for what you broadcast. To report a room, email Chris@wilkinscoffee.be.
